Audrey Paton

Audrey Paton, B.A. (Hons), (nee Whyte), first worked at Highland Stoneware on summer placements in 1989 and 1990, while a student at Gray’s College of Art, Aberdeen. During this time she modelled pieces of jewellery in porcelain. After graduating, she began working full time as a decorator. She also made a great contribution in the plaster mould-making department having developed the form for our old lasagne dish.

In her time as a decorator, Audrey has contributed various patterns to our range, working on pieces specially designed for children, including ‘Frogs’, ‘Sheep’, ‘Chicks’, ‘Puffin’, ‘Scottie Dog’, ‘Bunnies’, ‘Pigs’, ‘Snowy Bear’. She also worked very closely with David on the ‘Edinburgh Skyline’ range.  More recently, she has made a great contribution in developing the beautiful ‘Agate’ range.

In her spare time, Audrey enjoys keeping active and regularly attends exercise classes at the local Leisure Centre where she is also volunteer trainer.
