The Dangers of Thermal Shock
As with all ceramics, avoid thermal shock by not exposing your pottery to rapid changes in temperature. The risk of thermal shock is greater when pottery is large. Never put a plate from the fridge or freezer into the oven or microwave, nor should you put a very hot dish into cold water. We highly recommend placing your item on a metal baking tray for use in the oven. Never place on a hot stovetop or open flame.
Dishwasher Safety
Our high fired pottery is suitable for Dishwasher cleaning, however there is a slight risk of any ceramics being damaged in dishwashers due to items banging together while loading or unloading, so please take care.
If you have purchased any 2nd quality items from our website, be aware that these pieces may have small flaws which may be in the finish, the decoration or the shape. These faults are not structural, so each piece still functions as intended and is usable.
