Wow - that was quick! My beautiful new large planter arrived safe and sound today. Thanks to all your crew there - artists, sales staff, administration and parcel wrappers - for creating and sharing such lovely art with the rest of the world! I'm sure I'll be back to the website for more.

Do you ever put Border Collies in with the sheep in your sheep items? I have 3 BC's and love pottery with sheep and dogs.

Highland Stoneware Replied::
Border Collies are not part of our standard range, but we could do something as a special commission. Please email us at info@highlandstoneware.com if you would like a quotation.

We've just received the Celadon plates, they are beautiful and they perfectly match the other items we have ! Thank you for packing them so well because they had to go a long way from Lochinver to the east of France. No breakage and it arrived on time. Merci beaucoup ! Valerie and David Probst

Hello. I received a gift of a Highland Stoneware teapot many years ago, and love it, not least because of its amazing heat-retention properties and durability. I'm wondering if all your products have this same, cast-iron-like heat retention, or if only certain products do, and if the latter, then which products? The current pictures of teapots, mugs etc. on your website have a different look, they appear to be more pottery-like. Is there any difference between the clays or techniques used in making different products, or are all basically the same, when it comes to heat retention and durability. Thank you!

All our products are made using the same clay and glazes. The high temperature firing gives stoneware its strength and durability. Glad to hear you are still enjoying using your teapot!

Can't tell you how delighted I am to be able to replace my beautiful plate that unfortunately got broken in moving home... Original bought at the Isle of Skye when I visited 8 years ago. I thought I was going to have to revist...!!

That's the good thing about hand painting. Even if a design has been discontinued, we can usually paint for replacements. Why not visit us here in Lochinver anyway ? !

Just bought two small mugs, absolutely love them, perfect size for our coffee machine "large" cup size. Hope to order another two soon, wish you would do the highland cow in a small mug size, let me know if it's added to designs/sizes available. Previously had some of your large mugs, delighted to say they have stood up to frequent dishwasher cycles and unlike other brands, have never lost any colour. Magic and highly recommended.

Glad you like the mugs. Although not part of our main range, we have done the Highland Cow on the small mug. Get in touch, and we will let you know how much they will cost. Norah

My order arrived yesterday. The seascape half pint mug was to replace the one I broke from my set of six bought back in October 2008. So pleased to have the complete set again. I also purchased a highland cow half pint mug as I simply love these animals and they hold many memories of childhood holidays spent in Scotland. The drawing is so life like it looks like she is keeping her eye on you. Brilliant. The quality of these pieces is second to non and so unique and unusual.

Thank you for your feedback Helen, it is always nice to hear from happy customers.

Would be good to just be able to select the mugs, I don't know if this is a popular item, but would help and then to be able to see what you have put in your basket, sorry to be picky...thank you.

Thank you for your comments, we like to hear about ways we can improve our website. You can select 'mug' from the search box to see the full range of mugs. We will bear in mind being able to see an image at the basket, when we update the site.

Hello Reading about Princess Ann's visit to you, I thought of our visit to you in 1976. It was a pure chance to "discover" you then. At that time you worked in a very modest building and we were stunned by the beautiful things you produced. We bought a full coffee set with all that was there (the coffee pot was delivered to an Inverness shop for us to collect). Every time we use it, we are delighted with it and it brings us back to your place. A wonderful set to have!
